One person was injured in an early morning wreck in Banks County that shut down Hwy. 441.
The name of the person injured, who was airlifted from the scene, has not been released. Details of the accident, which involved a motorcycle and a truck, also have not yet been released.
The wreck occurred around 6:30 a.m. The highway has been reopened.

Lula man injured in Hall County wreck
The Georgia State Patrol reports Stephen Forrester, 49, Lula, was life-flighted to Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Thursday, for injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident in Hall County.
The state patrol says Forrester’s car was headed north on Interstate 985 in the Rabbittown community when it went into the median, traveled 500 feet, and went down a concrete median, landing on its top in the eastbound lanes of Highway 369 – Jesse Jewell Parkway/Old Cornelia Highway – below.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Alto man injured in wreck
An Alto man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle wreck early Monday morning on Damascus Road in Banks County. Kevin Levi Allen, 33, was air lifted from the scene and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, for his injuries.

Jefferson couple killed Friday in Banks wreck
A well-known Jefferson couple was killed in a Banks county wreck Friday on Hwy. 63 at Hwy. 51. Killed were Tony and Ann Ianuario, Jefferson. The wreck reportedly involved a tractor trailer and a SUV, but no official details were available Saturday about the cause of the wreck.
The Ianuarios were involved in a variety of civic activities in the area. Tony was perhaps best known for dressing up as "Father Christmas" and participating in programs at churches and other community events. Ann was a Master Gardner and her yard across the street from Jefferson First United Methodist Church was known for its spring beauty.
No arrangements have been announced for the couple.

Man run over by train in Alto Monday night
A man was run over by a train around 9:30 p.m. Monday night in Alto in the area of Garland White Road near Lee Arrendale State Prison.
Rick Salemi, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Chief Investigator, said it is unclear at this time if the man was lying on the tracks at the time of the accident or walking on the tracks.

Banks deputy injured in Fri. night wreck
A Banks County Sheriff's Deputy was injured in a two-vehicle wreck around 8:45 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Hwy. 441 and Interstate 85, Banks Crossing.
Sheriff Charles Chapman said Deputy Hunter Whitlock was suffering some neck and knee pain when he was transported from the scene by ambulance.
Chapman said the driver of the Cadillac that struck Whitlock was a female from Jackson County.
